I bought a show dog from a known show breeder of Min Pins in SC. I’m a known show breeder in another state. Her contract only guaranteed him for original purchase price or refund up to 12 mos. I told her from 6 mos. on he was gimping in one knee off and on. She said I wasn’t exercising him enough. Well now he’s 13 mos. and holding up left leg all the time. Vet says it’s heritary and both knees are bad and need surgery. Left one is grade 3 and right one is grade 2. Surgery is $1250 and breeder says I don’t owe you anything since he’s one year old now. I can’t show him anymore and he will have to be neutered. Is this fair? She says if I can’t afford it, put him to sleep!

I just have a question. Is it illegal to sell a puppy without having any shots or just unethical?
